Privacy notice

Illuminext Solutions (“Illuminext”, “we”) is a software studio based in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. This notice explains how we handle personal data collected through this website, in line with Malaysia's Personal Data Protection Act 2010 (PDPA).

We only collect personal data that you choose to give us:

• Contact form: your name, email address, company (optional), the service and budget you select, and your message.
• Email, phone and WhatsApp: whatever you send us when you contact us directly, along with your email address or phone number.

We don't ask for sensitive personal data such as health, religious or financial information. Please don't include it in your message.

We use your personal data to:

• reply to your enquiry and discuss your project;
• prepare quotes, proposals and, if we work together, run the project;
• keep a record of our correspondence with you.

We don't sell your personal data, and we don't use it for marketing unless you've asked us to.

We don't share your personal data with anyone except the service providers we use to run this website and our business:

• our website hosting and database providers, which store contact form submissions;
• our email providers, which deliver enquiry notifications and our replies to you;
• WhatsApp, if you choose to message us there.

Some of these providers store data on servers outside Malaysia. We only use reputable providers that protect it to a standard comparable to the PDPA. We may also disclose personal data where the law requires it.

We use Umami, a privacy-focused analytics tool, to count page visits and clicks on buttons such as “Start a project”. It doesn't use cookies, doesn't track you across other websites, and doesn't collect anything that identifies you personally. The reports we see are aggregated totals only.

The public website doesn't set any cookies. The only cookie we use is a sign-in cookie for our own staff on the admin area.

We keep enquiries and correspondence for as long as we need them to respond to you, deliver any work we agree on, and meet our legal and accounting obligations. After that, we delete them.

Data is sent over encrypted connections (HTTPS) and stored with providers that encrypt it. Only Illuminext staff can see enquiries, and our admin area requires a password.

Under the PDPA you can:

• ask for a copy of the personal data we hold about you;
• ask us to correct data that is inaccurate, incomplete or out of date;
• withdraw your consent and ask us to stop using your data;
• ask us to delete your data, where we no longer need to keep it.

Email dev.ilmnext@gmail.com to make a request. We'll reply within 21 days. Giving us your personal data is voluntary, but without it we can't respond to your enquiry.
